......I know how you feel......A few years ago my pet turtle, Lily, died of semi-unknown circumstances. I cried for a whole hour. Her body torn to shreds just as my mind was tearing apart.
It is such a shame that computers can't show emotion, or else I could show more heart in this. But all I can think of is, let this event go but remember to acknowledge your tiny friend.
You know, as a supporter of Shamanism, I have taken the liberty to study many animal totems. So maybe this will help brighten up the death of your friend:
The Guinea Pig or Hamster brings like minded people to you with its appearance in your life. No matter how different your beliefs are from the norm, you will find yourself meeting people who think like you do.
When this totem appears, it signals a time to explore new possibilities, a time to open (or reopen) spiritual doors. It also brings a cautionary message: are you being too solitary in your spiritual practices? Do you need to seek out groups to help with your healing work? Are you ignoring the opportunities presented to you to involve yourself in healing activities?
Take advantage of all the opportunities that this special totem brings.

Death often is thought of as a bad thing, but, in truth, death means rebirth.

That's nice too. We brought him this glow in the dark flower... thing... which is ontop of his grave.

Nope. My mum says it's too upsetting when they pass on to "the other side" to quote King Willy.

Sorry about your hamster Purebreed. losing a pet is sometimes the hardest part of life. Like my cat died last summer and whenever I think of her it still makes me tear up. Just remember the happier times you had with your hamster.

I have an odd predicament. I have no emotional attachment to my pets When they died or will die I don't mind it. It's sort of like "Oh, they're gone......" And then I don't think about it much. Like Mom's horse was put down over the summer and she balled her eyes out but I was like....em......... It's odd....Other people have attachments. Any insight?

I hope you CARED for the animal when it was living. But over all, if you didn't cry or become depressed over these experiences, you're actually doing good. It means you're able to do what most people can't. MOVE ON

I wasn't crying, I was a little upset, when Toffee (hamster's name ) died. My family gave him a good life and we knew he was on the way out anyway. I wasn't nearly as upset as I thought I would be.

I spent time with them, fed them, cared for them, etc. I just didn't really....care...(I know, that sounds bad) when they died.
