Hi all. For a long while, I've honestly been ignoring Aliens, PRedators, and the main franchise really. But quite recently, I became interested again when I rewatched Aliens: Resurrection. You see, one reason that honestly drew me deep into the series, was because of Newborn. We all have our opinions, but why do so many people HATE Newborn? His design was kickass, his design was "dog cute", and he over all just seemed like a likeable character. I mean, he was such a new, fresh (sort of) addition to the Alien series. It's a bit refreshing to constantly see the same black creatures over and over again, but then get to see a crikey beaut like Newborn. Why da hate?!

I think it looked a little malformed or something, but that's just me.

I guess I hated it because, well, it just seems so stupid. The reason for it being in the movie was never even explained it just seemed like a stupid addition which didn't need to be. It ruined the movie for me.

i agree with necrosis and plus it WAS explained as the human dna (ripleys) combined with alien dna of the queen when they resurrected ripley (after a few failed attempts) and so the queen developed a womb and out comes this alien 1 step closer to the human species now it had more 'human' emotions to say and considered ripley its actualy mother (like the intelligence of a puppy...that gets angry) and malformed? are the aliens cute all the sudden?
